The problem with good technical translating is to be familiar with the terminology for various technical fields. The verbs are simple. So you must select the technical area or areas that interest you and get familiar with their specific terminologies.

Technical translations should be done by a person who knows the particular domain in which the original document is and both the languages, actual one and the language in which it should be translated. However, I came across a software on www.languageweaver.com which does the translation work phrase by phrase and is very good. You can try their translation products once.
