President Barack Obama says one of the toughest parts about being president is that his wife has been dragged into the "political realm."
Do YOU think the First Lady is getting fair treatment by the press?

I do not know when this insane idea came about that the First Lady should have money from the people of the country to pay for an office, aids, hair dresser, speech writers etc etc etc and have a budget of over 1.5 million a year.
No matter who the woman is she is not an elected official and as far as I am concerned this needs to stop. It is a waste of tax payer money.
She puts her ideas out there, attempts to tell people how to eat while she eats what ever the hell she wants and splurges on parties for celebs who I spell sh_t, travels the world on our dollar and uses millions upon millions for protection PFFFFPHTOEY.
I say let them eat like the rest of us and live like the rest of us they are not Kings and Queens they are just people. Bush had his ranch, he entertained people of the world there at his home. The WH belongs to the people of the U.S. and should only be used for what is necessary.
Lady Darko
Good heavens. The media have been fawning over Michelle Obama ever since the time before Barack was sworn in. So to answer the ridiculous question, yes, Michelle is getting what she should consider fair treatment.
Unfortunately for the legendary Mrs. Obama, she has gotten about the reception that she deserves. She is far from the brightest First Lady in American history: that credit goes to Barbara Bush, an educator with decades of experience, an advanced degree, and an IQ that put her well up in Mensa.
She made an ideal match for George Bush, as a proven Naval Aviator in WWII, whose loyalty and judgment have never been subject to question. George had the same amazing IQ as his well respected wife. Their son, GHW Bush, shared their amazing intellect, astute good judgment, and unswerving loyalty. So with GHW Bush's lovely wife and well respected First Lady.
Mrs. Obama has proved unworthy of keeping her husband's confidence as she repeatedly disclosed his foreign birth and illegality in office. Whether the First Lady has official access to classified information or not, she will encounter it and must be able to maintain that level of secrecy.
With that track record against her, perhaps Michelle Obama is as bad for America as is her husband.
The former First Lady, Laura Bush, is a woman we can all respect very greatly. Unlike Michelle Obama, she led by example. There is much to the First Lady's leadership position, which Laura Bush fulfilled with grace, dignity, and humor.
She continued her work with the Buckner Baptist Orphans' Home in Mesquite, Texas, Dallas Home for Girls, and Fort Worth Home for Boys. All have benefitted from her blend of old-fashioned grace, modern thinking, and America-First policy.
To date, Michelle Obama has yet to begin any leadership role except to the Black National Caucus (BNC), Acorn, and New Africa Guild (NAG).
I'm a rightwinger and I like the First Lady. And yes, she is most defintely getting fair treatment. As any First Lady should get.
Of course Hillary was an exception but she deserved rough treatment because she wanted to be a co-President.
