What caused them to stay in diapers in the first place? If classmates found out, how did they deal with it?

School age children aren't usually in diapers unless they have severe mental and physical developmental disabilities. Since a child like that would probably be in special ed classes, most of his peers would also be disabled in some way. I don't think it would be an issue for any of them.

If you are the parent of an older child who is not disabled but who is having trouble with toilet training, you should probably start by consulting your child's doctor.
