Discuss Martin's answer to: Knee Replacement Problem?

Anyone had full knee replacement and had crunching sensation/sound in the knee 3 months later? Will this go away?

The crunching sound can come from the IT band pulling the kneecap laterally, causing a crunching noise when the knee is bending.  If you tend to swing your leg during walking, that motion is causing the IT band to shorten which is creating stress to the patella.  Learning good walking mechanics and strengthening your gluts could eliminate this problem.
