Dr. OzI am a 54 year old male. I try to keep in shape.I may be around twenty pounds over weight because I can no longer exercise the way I use to. Have a lot of knee pain and most recently have been having a lot of hip pain. My doctor sent me for x-rays of my hip and knees. There conclusion is that I have arthritis. They have given me pain pills. I do not want to live the rest of my life on pills and become a couch potato. Is there anyone out there that can help me. Also are there any exercises that i can do to help and not cause any further damage.

Hi Ed

there are lots of food you should avoid if you have arthritis and you should take Glucosamine supplements.  Pilates is a great form of exercise that should be OK for you with arthritis.
