Killing of outside black ants w/ out killing my flowers.

I have a lot of black ants in my flower gardens and potted plants.

Is there a house hold item I can use that is safe so my flowers won't die???

I understand if you put cornmeal out where their nest is that they eat it and take it back to the nest - they can't digest it and die - it was on a TV program my son was watching not long ago.

The black ants , usually are after the honey dew/aphids, either way you can use. You can also liquid seven. Spray the bottom of the leaves with liquid seven, and surrounding areas .You can find it at walmart. It is safe to use on plants. Will leave a slight film protecting plants as well. Will not hurt plants

well thats kind of hard but you can try taking the flower with all the roots and putting it in a vase then spray some bug spray or water on the black ants . after your done gently put the flowers back and dig a hole for them and they sould be fine. i think that will work, worth a try!Cool
