How to kill cactus

We have 4 acres of ranch land near Waco Texas that has lots and lots of cactus? How can we kill it?

We live in Fayetteville. . . . a couple of hours South of Waco and we have the same problem. We dug up the cactus about a year ago, but it's back in full force.   If you find a spray or anything that will kill it. . . . or if anyone has responded with a solution, please let me know the secret by emailing me at fayetvil@cvctx.com.

The cactus plant may be killed by bugs such as vine weevils.

Sand blast with course sand treated with roundup. do again when the babies come back.  roots will die when they no longer get pair suport.  D Mahon   512 963 0000
