Long known in Springfield by another name, KEVILEE BURGE now has another job.

Burge, 33, has joined the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association in a newly created communications position.

Burge, using the name Kevilee Douglas, has been morning meteorologist on WICS Channel 20 for eight years.

“I loved that job with everything I had,” she said of the Channel 20 post. “I gave my life to it. But waking up at 2 a.m. was very difficult with my young family.”

Burge is married and has a 2-year-old son.
