Discuss Serenity's answer to: Karl Barth said have the newspaper in one hand and the Bible in the other... What is the full quote and what did he mean?

Allow me to add one of my own quotes:

"Hold the newspaper in your left hand, and see what it teaches you about life. If we were to believe the newspaper, then we would have nothing but pessimism, bitterness, senseless misery, and hopeless dejection to anticipate. That is hell.

"Hold the Bible in your right hand, and see what it teaches you about life. Here we learn that the impossible is possible, that hope is real, and that the riddle of life actually makes sense. That is Heaven.

"Now, realize that the newspaper hired a bunch of irrational and gloomy liars to write that leftist propaganda and think about the pure balderdash that these morons wanted you to believe. That is nausea."

Rocmike why do all of your aliases go to old questions and answers no one has been on in a long time? AP-Ladydarko does the same thing. Could it be you are the same poster?
