Aviation (or better define it aerospace) industry is one of the most challenging fascinating industries. It requires the highest possible quality, ultimate design, highest effeciency (you'll have to use every spare inch), use super advanced mateials (Titanium, Berylium, Composites), use most advance techniques, use best known technologies (Welding, glueing, planning, constructing), used most advanced available experiments (wind tunnels) ....... and above all: Satisfaction to make a heavy metal monstare fly !.

Pro: This industry is usually at the cutting edge of many technologies and challenges. When the plane is sold there is a good and proud feeling that you played an integral part in its design or production. There is plenty of room for advancement for those who show originality and management potential.

Con: Danger of unemployment due to government cutbacks. Except for the U.S. there are no more than one or two major companies in any country so mobility or migration can be extremely limited.
