Discuss Melvin Whitcombe's answer to: Jehosaphat:

Why was Jehosaphat known for his jumping? Was this a kind of Olympic sport - and how high or far could he jump? (although it was probably measured in cubits in those days).

The term relates to the severe foot ailments of King Jehosephat of Israel (circa 870 BCE).  In the book of Joel, the Lord healed Jehosephat and the king celebrated by jumping.

Bigots hope to make us hate the persons whom they hate, but there is no good in hate. Love and forgiveness make us worthy by cleansing us of cult driven hate.
