Are you positive that his name is Chris May? I have done all sorts of searches online to see if I can find anything about him and I can't find a single jazz artist named Chris May. I would really like to find out who you are talking about as I love Jazz music and am always looking for new artists.

I met a performer on a Princess Cruise about 3 years ago and his name was Chris May. Whilst I would not say he was an out and out jazz pianist/singer he did "jazz up"what ever he was playing and singing along with. I do have a CD that he gave me called "Thats Life" which is quite good and gives me many happy memories of some great evenings in The Wheel House Bar on Star Princess. I did keep in touch with him via e-mail for a short time but sadly I lost contact with him. It is possibly the same person.

I talked to Chris on a Princess cruise, Feb 2010.  He had made at least one CD, but all masters were lost in the Katrina Hurricane damage in New Orleans.  He is making a new CD and is about 75% done.  He hopes to complete it in a few months time.  He gave his web site as "chrismaymusic.net" but that web site appears to not be operating at this time.  He is on Facebook.  BTW, Chris is just fantastic, and was the highlight of our cruise.  I can't say enough about him.

I just say Chris May on the Grand Princess - Jan 29 - Feb 12 sailing.  He was fantasic and he told us that he is working on a CD - check out his web site:

hello!  This is Chris May - for real. :-)  Something has happened to my website and I'm currently trying to figure out exactly what.  But in the meantime, I'll be in New Orleans from 4/12 - 4/21, but plan on spending my time as a tourist - not playing.  However, anytime I'm home, I always get roped into playing somewhere!!

I am on Facebook, just search "Chris May" and you'll find my fan page.  I post frequent updates and will soon be posting new video, as well as a full-length music video of my signature song, "I'm Just A Lucky So & So".  In addition my new CD "Beginnings" will be released in late May and will be available on my website.

I am currently addressing the problem and the site should be back up in the next few days.  I apologize for the inconvenience - it's completely out of my control.

If you're cruisers, I will be on the Diamond Princess from July 3rd until October 20th, 2010 for what will hopefully be my "farewell cruises" tour.  But that remains to be seen!

Thanks for your inquiry.  I hope to see you again soon!

I recently got into jazz and I'm curios if anybody knows some really good artists where you can fear the sole when they are playing? Besides the obvious Miles, Coltrane and Satchmo.
