What are the best LCD tv brands and models?

I'm still stuck in the stone age with my old cathode ray tube tv set. I'm going to be moving soon and I am NOT lugging that thing with me. I'm trying to get a consumer's viewpoint on the best LCD brands in the 32" range.

Check out this web site for reviews of LCD TVs. Keep in mind that there are more and more models that are larger than 32 inches, so if you've got the room, I would think about buying one of those.

Six months ago I bought the LG (LCD 47") for $999 at Best Buy and I'm pleased with the set in every way. There are complaints about the sound quality but it's nothing I can hear so I'd recommend this set.

I got a 34" Sony Bravia about 7 months ago, and I'm thrilled with it.

Try LG, TOSHIBA, BENQ and Nikai. I bet you haven't heard of Nikai yet but it can compete with any well known LCD brand. I have a 47'' Nikai bought here from Dubai. It's been with me for almost 3 years and so far didn't gave me problems. It can compete with LG, Samsung and Sony.

I am neither especially clever nor especially gifted. I am only very, very curious.

The Funa, Haier, Hewlett-Packard, Hitachi, Insignia, JVC, LG Electronics, Mitsubishi, Olevia, Panasonic, Philips and so on. You can choose any one of them.

Had a Toshiba 20 that went bad after about 5 years and now my Maxent 27 inch is going bad after 6 years. Getting a blue screen with no sound. Anyone have any fixes for this? Hate to junk it. Only happens every once in a while.
