There are many beautiful places in Israel. I think most people are most impressed with the desert parts of Israel, the dead sea and Machtesh Ramon for example, but the mountains in the northern parts are also very nice. I wouldn't call the cities pretty, but there are nice places in most of them. Jerusalem is interesting but not as clean as it should be IMO.

We say that God gave 10 measures of beauty to the world, Israel took 9 out of them.....  but we are subjective....  Yes israel is really beautiful, here are a nice collection of pictures.

I can't think of a better way to celebrate a Bat Mitzva than to do it in Israel. Unfortunately summers are hot and dry so the vegetation is not as green in countries where water is plentiful because of year-round rains, but there are beautiful places here. One of the phenomena here is that in this little countries you will find mountains, valleys, deserts, rich farmland and even snow on Mount Hermon. But Jerusalem takes my breath away every time I visit that beautiful city. Walking through the Old City you feel that you left the noise and motion of the modern world and have entered a magical kingdom. But do come and see for yourself.
