The article states that what the Palestinians do or do not do does not affect what Israel should do. If Palestinians continue the conflict-teaching hate, commiting terrorist acts, not recognizing that Israel is a Jewish State (while Israelis have now acknowledged that there should be a Palestinian State), why should Israelis put their lives on hold? If Palestinians never accept Israel then Israel should not be forced to stop expanding settlements based on a hope. Indeed continuing settlement activity should encourage and motivate the Palestinians to actually come to the table in a meaningful way.

You make some very valid points. Unfortunately, the people who are capable of sitting at the negotiating table are not interested in these valid points.

That is true. For the past generations and, as I see it in the history books, some how Israel have to give something away in order to survive. Its time to stand for Israel and do what is O.K. for Israel. I say keep building and do not give any more Land for peace, because, that is a proven waist. Shalom.
