Why would some Rabbi's  believe that there are more than one Messiah???

Not the rabbis that I know. Which ones are you referring to?

According to Rabbinical writings and tradition, the first messiah to appear will be the Messiah son of Joseph  who will appear prior to the coming of Messiah son of David ; he will gather the children of Israel around him, march to Jerusalem , and there, after overcoming the hostile powers, reestablish the Temple -worship and set up his own dominion. Thereupon Gog and Magog  will appear with their hosts before Jerusalem, wage war against Messiah son of Joseph, and slay him. His corpse, according to one group, will lie unburied in the streets of Jerusalem; according to the other, it will be hidden by the angels with the bodies of the Patriarchs , until Messiah son of David comes and resurrects him.

Ribbi's believe in only one Messiah, thay also believe He is yet to come.
