Is there something wrong with your ipod? Why exactly are you asking this question? I would like to try and help you, but I don't understand what you want to know.

I bought an extended warranty on a Garmin GPS I bought  from Circuit City (CC) before they went out of business, and when I had a problem with it they (CC) said they were sorry but there was nothing they could do but to call Garmin. I did and Garmin had me download some new software and my problem was resolved.
My iPod Classic is still working ok. I would suggest trying to resolve the problem through Apple. Good luck.

You should have payed for the extended warranty charge before. I'm not sure if they allow that but you can call the customer support for better advice.
