How do you get insurance on certain personal items like antiques,jewellery etc?

Most companies offer that type of coverage. For instance, Kemper offers coverage on 96 different classes of collectibles with a per-item limit of $5,000. For more valuable items, you can get a rider on your homeowners policy. Make sure, though, that the policy will pay you what it costs to replace the items. For expensive home electronics, your policy will pay for the cost of the item minus any depreciatioo. A key part of this is getting your items appraised by a reputable expert. When in doubt check them out through the Better Business Bureau.
