Injection for iritis

I have iritis in both eyes for approx 2 1/2 months now.  I have been on omnipred drops 4 x day, Nevanac 2 x day and now on Alphagan 2 x day.  Some improvement in inflamation, but eye pressure is still high.  I may have to go to Retina Specialist and possibly have an injection.  Has anyone had this done and how painful is it?  Thanks Denise
