Discuss artist61's answer to: Inheritance

How do I find out what is in a dead relative's will?

Anyone who was mentioned in the will should have signed a waiver.  The will should then have been filed in the Probate Court of the county in which the decedent lived.  You should be able to obtain a copy of the will by providing the Probate Court with a copy of the death certificate of the decedent.  The state should be able to provide you with a copy of the death certificate if you have the decedent's name and date of death.

My son, do not forget my law, but let your heart keep my commands in your heart; for length of days and long life and peace they will add to you. Let not mercy and truth forsake you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart, and so find favor and high esteem in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and depart from evil.
