Any info. on price and suggetions,tips on ingroung pool in New Orleans area

What is the average price of an inground pool? nothing too fancy.I am a disable veteran and swimming is the only type of some exercise I can do.I am in pain all the time,had back surgery,and can not take the pain during physical therapy,Dr. sugessested physical therapy in a pool,but I do not know if I can afford a pool.can anyone that had a pool build tell me about how much it cost.I have no idea what the price on a pool is. Thank you I appreciate any help.suggetions and tips.Also if anyone can recomend a contractor that is honest,fair and responsible.I will really appreciate any info.thank you. I live in the New Orleans area.Thank you
