Dark Shadows was originally a classic and beloved gothic/vampire soap opera on TV for many years. If you were a fan of the original, you'll pretty much hate the movie. Burton has essentially parodied and stupidified the original show, which really was quite good.

If a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, then that makes me a burning truck filled with TNT hurtling through a rocket fuel depot.
