The infamous "Poop" cake recipe, not kitty litter.....

My sister is turning forty and we are throwing her a party. My mother mentioned she saw a "poop" cake in a bakery. It was not the kitty litter cake but made to look more like human poop.  Has anyone ever heard of this cake and do you know where I could get the recipe? Thanks a bunch!

I personally don't like the idea. It is in poor taste and I am not sure that your sister will enjoy the joke.

Not to be too rude but I would appreciate your answer a bit more if I was looking for your opinion. But since I wasn't....

This is the kitty litter recipe.

I guess you could use larger tootsie rolls to make it more "human like", and use a potty shape to actually put the cake in (see here for instructions: http://www.cdkitchen.com/recipes/recs/302/Potty_Jello40708.shtml)

1 (18 oz.) box spice or german chocolate cake mix
1 (18 oz.) box white cake mix
1 pkg. white sandwich cookies
1 large box vanilla instant pudding mix
12 small tootsie rolls
1 litter box (a NEW one!)
1 plastic scoop (again, a NEW one)
green food coloring

Preparation:
Prepare cake mixes and bake according to directions (any size pans). Prepare pudding mix and chill until ready to assemble. Crumble white sandwich cookies in small batches in blender, they tend to stick, so scrape often. Set aside all but about 1/4 cup. To the 1/4 cup cookie crumbs, add a few drops green food coloring and mix using a fork or shake in a jar.
When cakes are cooled to room temperature, crumble into a large bowl. Toss with half the remaining white cookie crumbs and the chilled pudding. You might feel that this amount of pudding is too much, so combine gently till you feel this is the right texture for you. It's not supposed to be too "muddy". Put mixture into clean litter box. Put three unwrapped Tootsie rolls in a microwave safe dish and heat until soft and pliable. Shape ends so they are no longer blunt, curving slightly. Repeat with 3 more Tootsie rolls and bury in mixture. Sprinkle the other half of cookie crumbs over top. Scatter the green cookie crumbs lightly over the top, this is supposed to look like the chlorophyll in kitty litter. Heat remaining Tootsie Rolls, three at a time in the microwave until almost melted. Scrape them on top of the cake and sprinkle with cookie crumbs. Place the box on a newspaper and sprinkle a few of the cookie crumbs around. Serve with a new pooper scooper.

When I was younger I had a career day at a local bakery and I actually made the " poop" cake.  As I recall they used a medium sized round layer cake with raspberry and chocolate cream in the middle.  After that was cooled I took an icing tube with a big open round tip and circled the layered cake and iced it with a swirly tip, then we used tissue paper and plastic flies to decorate it.  It is definately a fun cake! I hope that helps a little! :). Tje frosting was a chocolate medium brown colored mousse style frosting.  You might even want to make smaller scaled versions depending on how many guests you will have.

It is what it is, do with it what you will!

I certainly woudn't like receiving a "Poop" cake, but here's where you can find the recipe:

Bon appetit!
