jay, from my experience you don't need a divorce to settle this issue. A "Legal Separation" preceeds a divorce in most states and stipulates any/all things both parties can agree upon. My own included alimony/child support and a clause stating that both parties were free to live apart without interference from the other. Since you already have a restraining order I'm not sure another piece of paper is the answer to your question; if she's violating the terms of the RO, take the steps necessary to have it enforced.
