Indigent teen behavioral help. I believe my 11 year old grandson needs inhouse counseling for a period of time. He is depressed, possesses 98% of traits for ADHD. He acts out at school and home ...

1) The school, if public, needs to do an evaluation for special education services if his behavior is interferingwith school work  - anyone can refer him - including you - contact the district office and inquire about their policies and procedures- if he does have a behavioral and/emotional disorder then counseling services among a hole host of other services can be included as part of special education services provided by the district - i'd suggest contacting a local advocacy organization for more assistance

2) Conditions at home need to be looked at - is he acting out because of possible abuse? emotional? physical and/or sexual?

3) Where are his parents in this scenario?

4) Has he been evaluated by a physician?

Many questions need to be asked - often childrens behavior is a symptom of other things bothering them and is not always organic

I would also suggest that the adults in his life seek counseling on the stress of living with and loving a child who does have special needs
