Indie style?

I am tired of being called an emo kid for the way i dress so i am changing my style to indie. I already have an indie kid personality so i just need the style.

What are some must haves for being and indie kid and what are some cool places to buy indie clothes (beside thrift shops, i dont live near many of those) I love flannel shirts and ive heard that those are part of indie style. Help? Just tell me what indie style is.

Hi Lilly, Dont worry about how people "Label" you! You are your own person and dress in a way that makes you comfortable. I wouldn`t change my style to please others. Be who you are and if anybody dont like it..well...too bad! Hang in there.

indie is derived from independent.  If you want to be independent, dress the way that pleases you regardless of fashion or other's opinions.
