Improved citizenship among leftists?
It may seem a pipedream but one that I believe is worth the pursuit. In El Salvador, two of the most violent gangs in their beleaguered nations have called a truce of sorts: they have agreed between themselves not to attack each other unless another provocation occurs.
One would be hard-pressed to become a more scornful and bitter bunch of leftists than they. Yet they have begun to move up from outlaw feudalism to a more serene state.
Unfortunately, critics note that this could merely be a ruse for these two cut-throat gangs to make themselves more acceptable with the authorities and the public at-large.
Salvadoran and Mexican gangs have taken root in our Hispanic community, much as "occupiers" have taken root among our domestic criminal element. oth are subversive extremists who scoff at the law, fly gang "colors" and believe that their 1% minority is wiser and better than we 99% majority whose wisdom built this great nation.
Might we expect our 1% "occupiers" to one day improve their citizenship as these two violent criminal gangs have in El Salvador?
