In my opinion, it all depends on your relationship.  If your man is sincere and not trying to start issues within the relationship or always trying to talk down to you, I would consider his request.  First, I would get specific details about what he is trying to get you to accomplish.  Sometimes taking good advice from your man could only help your relationship grow.  But if his advice is only drama, then you should consider other options.  Communication is very important in a relationship and you will never know what your man need unless he tells you.  Only you know if he is sincere.  You should always welcome improvements in your lifestyle and stay away from attempted mental abuse.
