If you call a phone ~ landline or mobile ~ and it goes to voicemail, it's usually because nobody's answered it!

In the case of a mobile phone, the phone's off or its owner couldn't talk (or didn't want to talk) then. In the case of a landline, the homeowner is not home or otherwise occupied. You know, as in "too busy to answer the phone."

Not everyone feels the need to be connected to the outside world 24/7. Leave a message and forget about it, would you?
