Look at the truss straps to find the manufacturer and the model number. Search their site for installations specs. That is the only way to be sure the installation was done correctly. The building department would and should also rely on these manufactures instructions.

I will get the info from the straps with a good flashlight.  But do the building codes for my county at the time of the issuing of the Certificate of Occupancy supercede anything the manufacturer says?
