I feel that is a personal preference .

I personally do not care for a pre lit tree .

My Family roots are deep in tradition of decorating the tree including putting the lights on .

Some disagree saying it takes less time with a pre lit tree .

But again shouldn't putting up the tree be a family event where time shouldn't matter .

Time with your family should be timeless .

Not sure why you think artificial trees are better than real ones. In the long run they may be more economical, but nothing beats the aroma of a fresh tree, which also looks a whole lot more "real" than an artificial one. In any event, I think that the pre-lit artificial trees look even more artificial than the ones where you put your own lights on. But every one to their own taste...

I would prefer a pre-lit artificial tree because I don't have to take time installing lights by myself and besides, it also saves costs.
