Have you tried your local library?  I have gotten home improvement videos from the library.  Also try HGTV.COM, they may have videos of home improvements.

Try looking in the back of "how to" books in the DIY section of bookstores.  The Bibliography may contain some info on applicable videos.  Check also the TOH (This Old House), Yankee Workshop websites to see if they sell videos. Lastly, go into DIY and specialty stores
