My neighbor has trimmed a tree that is on my property. Can he do that?

If  he  trimmed  your  tree , He should  have  got  your  permission  first  hand ,  Watch  he  don't  try trimming  your  other  stuff  too

If your tree is hanging into his property he can trim those pieces, but he should have talked to you first and you should have taken care of it for him. Not very neighborly of him....

yes, if the branches hang over his land he can trim them.Did he say anything to you about the branches?  Maybe this was a good thing for you
