When you put up a manger for christmas when do you put baby jesus in the manger?

Hi Jessica

This varies from country to country.  In the UK, the infant is usually placed in the manger as soon as it's set up.  This can be as early as the beginning of December.

However in Italy, he is not placed in the manger until midnight mass on Christmas Eve.
