Here are the ways to lower blood pressure naturally:
1. lose weight or maintain the right weight for you
2. exercise
3. eat less
4. Avoid red meats
5.Eat lean meat
6. eat lots of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, drink fat-free dairy products
7. Cut down on salt intake
8. Cut down on caffeine intake.
9. Meditate/yoga
Nicholas, It would help to know how high your blood pressure is. DB lady had the right answers for you, but depending on the numbers, it might be better to see a doctor, if you haven't, to see whether you should be on medicine UNTIL you can take the steps in DB Lady's post. If you don't have a monitor, you might consider getting one. They are very reasonable, and a great way to track your pressure for future visits to the doctor. It will show him when you can stop the medicines. High blood pressure is nothing to play with. It can cause other medical problems, such as an enlarged heart from strain on your body.Good health to you!
