how do I get a copy of my 1972 high school diploma in Texas from a school that is no longer operating?

The school district is probably still operating, even if they closed that school. They may have all the records at the district office.

If it's a parochial school, maybe there is another school that they combined with.

If it was a private school, there may be no records left.
