Christian teaching is that we existed before we came to mortality.  We came here to pay a penance, each as we deserve for our misdeeds prior to incarnation.  However, we do not return to this earth time and again.  That would prove nothing, although there is nothing God cannot do, and if He decides to put us back through earthly misery, it is for a good reason.

You put your children through school, not to punish them, but to educate them.  In school they will learn far more than their subject matter: they will learn how to get along. 

Once they graduate they return for awhile to their families, with degrees, and help their younger siblings with their homework, but they do not remain in the house forever.  Soon, the fledgeling must spread his wings and fly.

It is amazing how little some people learn in the school of hard knocks.  We who are wise take our lessons to heart.

Solace and love are contagious: this is one condition you WANT to catch!

Rocmike aka American Patriot is starting today's posting marathon off with Bernard McCaunaghy. We are in store of hours and hours and hours of aliases repeating the same thing over and over and going to old questions and answers no one has been on in a long time. Rocmike aka American Patriot why is it none of your aliases posted for a 2 days and when 1 comes on several do? You came back strong though. You have been posting for over 13 straight hours. Over 3 hours under your alias Joyce Peller, over 7 hours under you alias Renner and over an hour under your alias Michael MacGilveay who is still posting. You also have had some anonymous posts thrown in. All posting one after the other repeating the same thing over and over and going to old questions and answers. GET A LIFE.

Christian doctrine concedes no truly irrational belief: what they believe is rational and well proved, historically, philosophically, and speaking as an outsider, scientifically.

 

Christioan faith asks us not to believe what we know isn't the truth.  Islam demands on sword point that their followers believe what they are told even if it is absolutely ridiculous.  Hindo starts out with nonsense andf goes down hill from there.

 

Judiasm gave Christianity its essential credibility.  Seen from the rational perspective, they mesh very consistently. 

 

The one and only cult that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever is atheism.
