Standard conventional medical treatment consists of lubricating the surface of the veins with medication to kill the pain and shrink the hemorrhoid, sitz baths, and hot and cold packs put on the vein to soothe the irritated area. In conventional allopathic treatment, the hemorrhoids may sometimes be hardened by injection, tied off (the preferred method), or removed by surgery.

Witch hazel will also help soothe and shrink the hemorrhoids. Put extract of witch hazel on a wad of cotton and secure to the hemorrhoids at night. If you can't manage this procedure, wipe the affected area with witch hazel. Use until cured. Works like magic. Witch hazel has been used by Native Americans for its anti-inflammatory properties.

Good luck and best wishes.

Another solution I find to be helpful only if you have used Preparation-H and are now immuned to its effects, Anusol -- it will do the job.  However, it requires a prescription.

For immediate relief,  I'd try a home sitz-bath.  Pour epson-salt in very hot water that you can withstand and sit until the water cools.  You will feel better doing that too.

I'll search, while you wait.

If you have no prescription drugs yet , cleaning the area with warm water and soap might help you calm it down. An ointment treatment is best for this kind of problem.

Having just finished The Coconut Oil Miracle not too long ago, I recall in it the author said that coconut oil is a great cure for this.  A quick Google search with reading a few user comments  seems to confirm this.  Personally, I'd try a natural remedy such as this before going so far as to have surgery or use pharmaceuticals like PrepH.

Google Ron Paul

Try a course for allergy, or the best thing is to visit a doc..

there are a lot of reasons why hemorrhoids appear.

1. food

2. lack of movement / sport

3. too spicy foods

4. body position when defecating

5. number of bowel movements per day and the constipation level

6. local hygiene

7. lack of water/liquids intake

8. the food order when eating (start with vegetables/soups continue with starches and at the end eat the meat)

9. the hemorrhoids (external especially) are a cause of intense pain, Attention do not scratch at all!!!

10. bad eating habit: eating very fast is a bad habit calling for constipation and their companion : hemorrhoids

when you eat, please forget everything else, concentrate on food, chew each bite 10 or 20 times, be there, when you eat you provide your body with food and your soul with conscience, when you are in a hurry you forget conscience :CONSCIENCE IS A FOOD , a very fine one, the finer THE MORE IMPORTANT IT IS!

BE THERE!!!
