I don't think you'll like my answer, but I am committed to the truth.  I am not sure that the best decision for both of you is to get back.  If you (both) want to start new relation, both of you should be sure that you really want it and sure that it will really work.  I feel that at least you are not sure about it and not sure if it works.  I believe you do it more for your son and for your ego......  The best edvise I can give you is: Get an ecperience counseling to find out if that's the right move to do.... He'll talk to both of you and find the right answer.  It's of utmost importance to find out how does your ex-husband see the situation and what does he want / expects.   I appologise if I was too direct and blunt (I onlt want to help you).
