how can i help poor people in the bahamas?i was there as a tourist and fell in love with the people right away. i bought some souveneirs from them and donated money to them right on the spot. one of the sellers mothers was there sitting in a chair looking very ill and my heart went out to her. i gave extra money right away to the daughter. these are fine human beings trying to make a living. how can i help-who can i contribute to and how will i know that it is getting directly to the people who need it!

you could ask your church to help you to make a large contribution.than have it donated to an orphanage for children.look up the pooriest area in bahamas i'm sure there are some guide lines that can help you...
