Help ME!

I have been using my exeercise bike for three months and I have not lost a pound. I know that the snacking at night does not help, but what can i do to lose this weight. My goal is 55lbs.

I had the same experience.... I found that after riding my apetite increased and I used to eat much more than usual..... after realizing that I took much more care of what I eat and only than it worked.  Eat much more vegetables and less: Sweets, bread, and "in betweens"....

Change the things you snack on.  Start out small with very small changes you can stick with.  Substitute one candy bar a day with a piece of really sweet fruit.  Change one fatty snack to a low fat or fat free alternative.  Drink a bottle of water instead of a bottle of soda pop.  Make one very small change, then in a couple of weeks when you get this to be a regular habit, make another small change.  Keep doing this, very slowly, until you get where you want to be.  You will be able to stay there the rest of your life, without the ups and downs of dieting.

OK...duh!!!! If your exercise bike isn't working for you...do something different! Stop stuffing your face at night and go for a run!  You probably aren't an idiot, so why treat your body like you are??? If you don't have the self control to stop putting food in your mouth at night for the purpose of...nothing...you're going to go to bed....then do you really have the self control to NOT STOP peddling when it gets a little uncomfortable?

Shock your body by trying something harder and shock your mind by taking care of your body

 

 

 

 

 

 

I am still going to work out on the bike but I will work harder and longer and I am going to stop eating at night no matter how much I want to. I will read a book or play a game with my family.

Here is a really interesting fact I found out, brace yourself it's a little shocking.. at least it was to me. We all know how long our intestines are right? Like a mile long!  Well a lot of times, especially people with big bellies, actually have 'waste' backed up throughout their entire intestines, pounds and pounds of crap!.. literally, and we can't exercise that away!  So I might suggest to you to go to your local Vitamin Shop like GNC and buy a good (Colon Cleanse).  We all really should do that on a regular basis to keep our bodies healthy, and in good condition. And always drink enough good clean water too.

It's been 7 months since you posted this question, I hope you lost your 55lbs! But if you still have a belly.. time to cleanse!

I have tried many, many diets and a lot of them worked, but they are quite hard to commit to if you are not ready to say to yourself,"I am so sick of this that I will so anything to get rid of this weight." If you are not committed it will not work. Like they say you can only lead a horse to water. I tried Nutrisystem and I lost 31 pounds in about 4 months. It did work, however, it was pretty hard to eat prepackaged meals and be the odd one out at the dinner table at the age of 10. I have also tried just eating healthy, such as bringing 100 calorie packs to the movies rather than eating popcorn and pretzels. You should also only try to consume fruits, vegetables, and proteins each day. So, basically, for this diet type, you should just follow the Food Pyramid which you can look at on MyPyramid.gov. I have also tried the Smart For Life cookie diet where you just eat diet cookies every two hours and you eat 10-12 ounces of protein through out the day, and then you eat a normal dinner with your family. I liked this diet better. If you do not want to do a systematic diet you should just eat small nutritious meals every two hours or so to keep your metabolism up and running because not all of us are blessed with a fast metabolism! :) I hope that this helped.Oh and I lost 7 pounds in the first 5 days of the cookie diet.
