Help for amputee

Does anyone know of any charities who help people with a amputee?  My brother was in a accident and had his left foot riped off and is need of some help until workers comp. kickes in. He has two small children he is supporting and we are at our ends and just don't know what to do. There is nothing more we can do until his workers comp. can kick in and they are trying to denie his case. If anyone knows of any charities that help in sitiutations like this we would be very grateful. Thank you for any help you may have.

I don't much about about many charities other than American Red Cross, or the United Way but, certainly, he's eligible for food stamps, and monthly assistance thru the Dept of Social Services and depending on what state he's in he may even be qualified for Disability Payments. Look into all I've suggested.

Its never too late to ask.

      I appreciate your situation. It can become most challenging to be in pain, and trying to heal, while at the same time, you have to eat and pay bills. I, of course, don't know where you are, however, if you do some "digging" into entities within the county that you live in, you should be able to find emergancy assistance.

     There are always organizations that are set up to do exactly that; help people in a financial crisis, particularly of a medical nature; especially if you are a parent. Also check with state organizations. They are out there. You just have to do some research. Here are some places you can start;

HASL-1.800.758.4275 you will need to tell them your situation, and where you are, and they should be able to direct you to some help.

    These are just a few ideas. Don't give up. I know this is very challenging, but remember; YOU CAN HANDLE THIS.
