HELP!! SLOW results on new MATERNI 21 lab test for Downs Syndrome -- ??

My daughter is 37 and pregnant with her first baby (due in Dec.) - she recently had her 1st trimester U/S which was NORMAL... including the neck measurements. Then her lab report showed 2 markers for DownsSyndrome. She was offered the new "Materni21" blood test which she had drawn on May 31st.. that was suppose to take 8-10 business days for results to come back. Now earlier this week she found out it will be an additional week for results ...either because of quality control issues ..or that the 1st vial of blood may not have had enough "DNA" so they would be checking the 2nd vial. She is about out of her mind. So am I... because of my daughter's understandable upset. Can anyone share any light on this? Please and THANKS!!
