No need to be angry and sure don't be violent.  All you have to do is 2 things:
1.  Tell your daughter that if she asks her again she should
     repeat saying: "If you want to know, ask my mother".
2.  Call your neighbour (phone) and tell her the same ("If you
     have something to ask, better call me, and don't embarase 
     my daughter by asking her annoying questions".
