What does the Heat victory mean?

Insofar as world economic health, public safety, and the pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness goes, absolutely nothing.

The Miami Heat won game seven 101-88 over a game,gritty,and gutsy Celtic team.The Heat went on a 20-6 run to closeout the Cceltics in grand fashion.The game had been close.There were about 20 or 21 lead changes.

Boston had done everything needed to keep the Heat from opening up a lead.Yet lead by LeBron,Bosh,and Wade the Heat closed out Boston.

LeBron had 31 points and 12 rebounds.Wade had 23 points.Bosh had 19 points.Shane Battier added in 12 points on timely clutch 3 point shots.The Heat were pushed and pushed.Yet they fought back and took this series by the throat.

The team last year had an easier trip to the finals with finishing off the Bulls in five games in last year's conference finals.However this Heat team might have gained more mettle.More mental toughness.LeBron was forced to dig deep in these last two games and he did not disappoint.

This series was as much a referendum on him and his legacy as it was whether or not this Heat team could win a title.Now after 76 points in games six and seven LeBron has his team in the finals for the third time in six seasons.James still has to conquer one more mountain.He has to win.It is not fair in a way.

Moreover I think this man is a hall-of-famer and an all-time great even if the Heat fail to beat the Thunder.However to cement LeBron's legacy this Miami team must beat the Thunder.

Wade has already won.Bosh is not Wade or LeBron in terms of stature on this team.Understand Chris is important! Yet he will not be as admonished for failure if the Heat fail to get it done.

Erik Spolestra was safe even if Miami lost this series.Erik is a good communicator and Pat Riley genuinely respects and likes him.The X's and O's(in terms of adjustments)Erik can and will learn with time.Yet because Erik communicates well he has a chance to be real good as a coach.Anyway Erik is beyond safe with the Heat again in the finals.This now is all about Mr.James or King James if you will.He has to win to cement his lofty place in the history of this great sport.

I think he will.I think the Heat win in six because LeBron can take away Durant,Westbrook,or Harden with his defense at crucial times in the games.Plus Durant or Sefaloosha will be under pressure of having to guard him one on one.I think Scott Brooks(OKC coach)will try to single James because I think he trust Durant and Sefaloosha that much.The key here is does Durant's defense take away from his offense.Does guarding LeBron take out his energy to score?

As for Durant look for Spolestra to make it an easy series for LeBron.He will only guard Durant,Westbrook,and Harden at crucial moments.I think Haslem,Anthony,and Battier all will take turns guarding Durant.Also look for Wade and Chalmers to get the bulk of the defensive work on Westbrook.

Anyway it is all there for James.He now has to go and get it!

As for the Celtics.This was a tough series to lose! Rondo established himself as a superstar with this series.Doc Rivers cemented his legacy as a coach who gets the most out of his guys with flawless defensive planning and offensive flow.Paul Pierce will be back.

I can't say the same for Allen and/or Garnett.Time marches on and both men are in their mid to late 30's so Danny Ainge(Celtics GM)needs to do something to infuse youth into the starting lineup.Yet tip your hat to the Celtics.They made it all the way to game seven on heart and guts and just fell short.
