Yechielshiphshon, thanks for your words.  They mean a lot.  Penny suffered 19 days.  Death came as a mercy.  I spent a month in my hut grieving.  We have Mormon neighbors.  They brought me something to eat every day and kept me in their prayers.  These folks really are friends.

There was no way that miserable drunk could have known we were Christians, but when he stood up in court and started screaming that everyone on the Islands was Christian and he was going to get us all, that irked the Judge a lot.  That drunken peabrain went away for thirty years somewhere in New Jersey.  I think they said Rah Way or something.  It doesn't mattrr as long as I never have to see that cuss again.

No one deserves to die because they have a peaceful religion.  Atheists make a lot bigger ruckus about religion than anyone else.  They are real hasty about it too, and they have so much hate in them it hurts.   I just think they are really sick.

Dfrogpong seems to hate anyone who tells the truth, like she has something VERY bad to hide.  Maybe she does.  She talks like an atheist.  Maybe she is.  Everyone else calls her in the feminine so I guess they know something I don't know and dfrogpong isn't telling.

I guess it isn't very manly to cry but I'm having trouble trying to focus.

Mahalo.

Dear Dennis;

For what it is worth, I cry some, too. Have more so since 08, as I see more decent people messed over.

Let me tell you about a great man, my father.

He lied about his name and age so he could get into the Army. ended up in China, during the Russian "revolution/bloodbath".

His wife to be lost her family in the Kremla basement, a white Russian Geneal spirited her out of Russa, to China, the "American Zone" They met, and although she was Russian Orthodox Christian, fell in love and started their family.

In America, he worked for Western Transportation. Temster Union man came by, he joined. Told his boss at quitting time he had joined.

"Congratuations. You're fire!"

He went to the Union hall and found the agant who took him in. He was with two others.

"Thanks, bud. I joined your union, now I have no job!"

"Sorry. Cannot help you right now."

Father went to the door, closed it, locked it, turned back to the agents and told them; "OK. My dollar, or my job. I do not care which,  but it is your ass if I do not get either.'

They looked at each other, talked a minute, then said; "OK. You have a job if you want it. We shall hire you as a business agent."

Father took the job. He went back to his old job next day, talk to his former work buddies, and they agreed to join. That day, Father made his first contrack.

For thirty years he worked as an agent in LA area. Had a good rep, and was able to make good money. Broght in a man and trained him, and the local became too big split. Father should have had the new  local, his friend he helped took it through politics.

Year later, we went to a union meeting. That man was still there. He called attention to all of the old timers, except my father.

We got up and left. One of his real friends came up to Father and said, "Don't be mad."

Father replied; "I am not mad. I have a headache, so I am going home for some rest." Never let on how he felt, never said a word about that man. I know that Father was hurting, but he also had respect for himself. this is the standard I learned.

Did Father ever cry? Yes, when he heard about someone who was abused, or their family.

As for his first wife? When their son was 10, she died of pnenomia. Year later met and married my mother. She only had good things to say about Father's first wife.

Dennis, we choose which way to go. Not always easy, but then, there is the morniong after.

Shalom, my friend and GBY and your family.

Dear Readers;

It was stated above that Ancient Israel did not have circle dance. There are 6 words expressing dance, two of them relate to circle or twist, as a usage.

>>> Old Testament

The scriptures do not include specific instructions or admonitions regarding dancing.  Nevertheless, it did play a role in the life of ancient Israel.  As such, it is given passing mention worthy of such common activities.  “The OT makes occasional reference to dancing as a source of amusement only (e.g. Ex. 32:19; Ec. 3:4), but usually behind the activity is some form of religious significance.”

The Terms

There are six Hebrew terms used in the OT to refer to some type of dancing.  The first term is (mecholah) (Ex. 15:20; 32:19; Judg 11:34; 21:21; 1 Sam 18:6; 21:11; 29:5; SoS 6:13/7:1).  It can be translated as “dance”, “dancing”, or “chorus,” or even “circle-dance.”  Holladay suggests the possibility of it referring to a dance in double rows.  It is always used in a context of celebration or joy.

The related term (machol) is used in: Psalm 30:11; 149:3; 150:4; Jer 31:4, 13; and Lam 5:15.  It is also used in connection with joy and celebration, and it is ironic that the weeping prophet Jeremiah should use it three times.  The Psalmist exhorted God’s people to worship and praise Yahweh with song and dance.

Another term is (chagag), and is used in conjunction with the keeping of a festival (e.g., Ex 5:1 and 12:14; 1 Sam 30:16).  Holladay includes the ideas of leaping or staggering as a drunkard (Ps 107:27), reveling, or even the practice of prostitution (possibly implied amongst the Amalekites in 1 Sam 30:16).

A fourth Hebrew term is (chul), and means “to dance, turn or twist.”  It is used in the passage regarding the girls of Shiloh dancing during an annual festival unto the Lord (Judg 21:21, 23).  However, it can mean to go around in succession (Hos 11:6), or to whirl as a whirlwind (Jer 23:19; 30:23).

The fifth term is (karar), which means simply “to dance or move around” (2 Sam 6:14, 16).

And the sixth term is (raqad), which means “to dance or skip about,” and is used to refer to the actions of people and animals (goats or calves) (1 Chr 15:29; Job 21:11; Ps 29:6; 114:4, 6; Ecc 3:4; Isa 13:21).<<<
