Hi Tara. It is bewildering isn't it? And so many of us have had these feelings from time to time, some of us only sinking deeper and deeper into dispare. Honestly, if it wasn't for God, I might have checked out of here long ago. But I discovered something I want to share with you that will at least open your eyes to what the heck is going on and give you hope over this mess.

It helped me tremendously to realize that I can control my thoughts and emotions. We have all the power over what and how we think. We don't have to fall down and submit to everything that falls into our heads and believe it's true!

Forinstance, if I am thinking "man I'm bored, life sucks, nothing matters to me anymore." I can stop and say out-loud, "that's a lie! My life is interesting and fun. The sun is shinning, the birds are singing, and I'm going tanning today!

Check out what God tells us to do in the Bible; This is EPHESIANS 6:10,19

The Armor of God

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of the dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, stand.

Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this take up the shield of Faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. (This means everyone).

Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

God is our salvation Tara. Without Him we can do nothing.

Take care of you, protect your mind, and keep the Faith!

Hi Tara,

It sounds like you may be depressed. Depression is a complex issue and may result from specific events or situations or it may occur spontaneously (called endogenous depression). It may be short-lived, periodic, or may last for months or years at a time. It's important to be properly assessed, diagnosed and treated.

Of course this is only speculation. It may be that you are going through a time of confusion over the worth or point of a number of things in life. These are universal questions but not necessarily comfortable to reflect on.

Maybe it would be wise for you to see the doctor and talk over your experiences?
