I'm thinking about switching to a rather specific training that excludes gym weights and train only with my body. I know that this training is excellent for women and kids. But, will I benefit more from weight training than with this?

I like training with only my body. Just look at the gymnasts and tell me they don't look awesome and aren't strong. I think this is a great training, especially if you're bored with your old training. It makes a nice change.

I've always liked to do pull ups, push ups, dips and similar exercises that include only your body. To me this seems like the most natural training of all.

yes, as long as you stretch b4 any exercise.  Also, about the children lifting heavy weights, like anything else.  Stretch, and start off @ the smallest bends, lifts etc.  I did gymnastics for many, many years and it has paid off GREATLY!!!  The best thing i ever started almost 3 years ago, is the 1/2 hour walk.  after about 12-13 min. my heart rate goes up, i continue the brisk walking for 1/2 hour.  it has changed my life considerably.  i have a gym and all that, BUT just give me a large field,  IT S THE BEST !!!  have a GREAT weekend, and do start that 1/2 walk!!!
