How can you find a dentist in your area that practices sedation dentistry? Is there some kind of national registry or a website maybe where you can search for a dentist by state?

Not to my knowledge, there is no registry, but a simple way is to ask your dentist if he does do procedures under sedation (usually laughing gas) and if not he/she does know in the area that does it.Sometimes local anesthesia is better depending on the procedure.People are usually reluctant to see a dentist because of the "drill" but really advances in technology have made a lot of progress and equipment used nowadays are painless so sedation is not required.
