What can repeated oral yeast / candida infections be a sign of?

As a man who has suffered yeast infections, I know how painful they can be, In my case, the infections were a sign of diabetes that wasn't controlled. In fact, seeking treatment for yeast infections is how my diabetes was initially diagnosed. I don't know if oral infections rather than genital is different, but it's definitely something you want to get checked.
